Find your Pupillary Distance (PD)

(PD) is the distance between your eyes and is necessary for the correct fitting of the lenses in your glasses.

1. If you wear glasses, take them off before you take your photo.
Make sure you are in good lighting.

2. Look straight into the camera of your phone or computer.
It is very important that the camera is in the centre of your face. Imagine an invisible line from the camera to your nose.

3. Place any card with a magnetic strip above your eyes on your forehead and take a photo.
Hold the card from one of the top corners and make sure the magnetic strip is visible and at the bottom. Protect your card and do not show the front side with your details in the photo.

Once you upload your photo, one of our opticians will measure your pupillary distance (PD) and apply it to your prescription.

Photo checklist

  • Is the card positioned just above your eyes, touching your forehead?

  • Are you holding the card so that the entire magnetic strip is visible?

  • Is the photo well lit and taken at the same height as your eyes?
